Terms of Service & Agreement

By accessing or using MarkYourBible (the “Service”), available at https://mybibleapp.site and its related domains, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (this “Agreement”). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. This Agreement constitutes a binding agreement between you and MarkYourBible.

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

MarkYourBible grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial Bible study. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor reverse-engineer or attempt to extract its source code, except where permitted by law.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account page inside the app.

MarkYourBible may accept voluntary donations to support the ministry. Donations are processed securely through our third-party payment provider; we do not store your full card details on our servers. Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, donations are voluntary gifts and are non-refundable. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of any payment information you provide and for any applicable taxes. Consent to receive communications is never a condition of any donation.

The Service lets you post community discussions, comments, insights, prayer requests, study-room messages, and reviews. You retain ownership of the content you create, but you grant MarkYourBible a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it.

You may not post content that infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right. Do not upload copyrighted images, music, or text without permission, and do not impersonate other people, brands, or applications. Scripture quotations are drawn from public-domain and freely licensed translations.

The Service includes AI-assisted study tools and “Ezra,” a Bible-study companion available in the app and by phone at 318-373-5997. These tools are provided to aid your personal study and may occasionally produce incomplete or inaccurate results. AI-generated responses are not a substitute for prayer, Scripture itself, or pastoral and professional counsel, and should be verified against the Bible. You agree to use these tools respectfully and not to attempt to misuse, overload, or manipulate them.

MarkYourBible offers an optional text-messaging program for ministry updates. By opting in — through the consent checkbox on our giving page or by giving verbal consent when you call 318-373-5997 — you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from MarkYourBible at the mobile number you provide. Messages may include welcome greetings, free study-guide links, secure giving links, and occasional follow-ups. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of any purchase or donation. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, HELP for help, or START to re-subscribe. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Your mobile opt-in information is never shared with third parties for marketing; see our Privacy Policy for details. The Service may rely on or link to third-party services (such as payment processing, messaging carriers, and hosting providers) and may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that party’s own terms and privacy policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. While MarkYourBible strives for accuracy in study content and AI-assisted tools, we do not guarantee that all information is free from error. The Service is a study aid and is not a substitute for pastoral or professional counsel.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MarkYourBible and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data or content.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MarkYourBible and its operators, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of this Agreement or any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, without notice, if you violate these terms or the community guidelines below. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or this Agreement will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.

We may revise these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and MarkYourBible regarding the Service and supersedes any prior agreements. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
